1.) Job Title: Sous Chef

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:
Coraval Business Services is a company that will be providing short let and restaurant/bar services and we are looking to recruit a passionate and skilled Sous Chef who can prepare delicious intercontinental and local dishes that meet high-quality standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a culinary certification or degree backed up by relevant experience
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a sous chef
  • Must be able to make local and intercontinental dishes
  • Must have a sound knowledge of health and safety procedures in the kitchen
  • Must possess demonstrated awareness of and interest in current culinary trends
  • Must possess excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills
  • Must possess unique creativity in creating and plating dishes
  • Must be able to multitask efficiently
  • Must be a detail-oriented individual and a strong team player
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Create and implement the correct operating procedures for the culinary team; train and enforce food preparation quality, food safety, and safety standards for all staff
  • Create dishes to perfection according to menu specifications
  • Maintain food quality and consistency with a keen eye for detail in regard to food presentation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Oversee the training and development of the team
  • Recruit and maintain staff par levels and schedule accordingly based on business needs
  • Documents investigate, escalate, and resolve employee or guest incidents
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Salary:
N100,000 monthly

2.) Job Title: Cook

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:

Cora Shortlet and Lounge is an establishment that provides shortlet and restaurant services. We are looking to recruit cooks to prepare meals and food items according to recipes created by the establishment.

You will perform all duties necessary to ensure that a meal is properly prepared and presented within a specified timeframe.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
  • Work with the Chef and Sous chef to prepare high-quality meals and food items according to recipes.
  • Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
  • Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
  • Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
  • Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
  • Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
  • Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.

Cook Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
  • Proven experience working as a Cook.
  • The ability to follow recipes.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Effective communication skills.

Salary:
N70,000 monthly
