About Youth Employment Agency (YEA)
The Youth Employment Authority (YEA) was created by the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to manage the planning, coordinating, monitoring, and facilitation of youth employment in Ghana as well as other associated issues.
The Agency’s goal is to plan, organize, manage, and support the process of giving young people in the nation jobs.
YEA Recruitment 2022 Application Portal
Ghanaians who meet the requirements may apply to be Community Police Assistants and Community Health Workers through the Youth Employment Agency, and the recruitment portal remains www.yea.gov.gh.
COMMUNITY POLICE ASSISTANTS (CPAs)
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) oversees the development, coordination, supervision, and facilitation of employment for youth and related matters in Ghana in accordance with the YEA Act 2015 (Act 887), and in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, is hiring new personnel for the community protection assistants module.
APPLICATION DATE
The application exercise is scheduled to start on 19th September 2022 and to 14th October 2022.
Applicants must apply through the portal and visit their various YEA District offices for support.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA For YEA Recruitment 2022/2023
1. Persons between the ages of 18-35 years
2. Minimum qualification of Senior High School education.
CONDITION OF APPLICATION
1. Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of YEA.
2. Beneficiaries would be on two (2) years contracts of engagement.

COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS (CHWs)
To implement the Community Health Workers (CHWs) Program in accordance with Regulation (1b) of the Youth Employment Agency Regulation 2016, the Youth Employment Agency is collaborating with the Ghana Health Service (LI. 2231).
The Community Health Workers (CHWs) Program aims to increase the community health workforce to enhance rural populations’ access to healthcare services, contribute to the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), and address COVID-19.
Beneficiaries of the initiative will be hired by the Youth Employment Agency to collaborate closely with the Ghana Health Service at the local level.
Successful candidates will only be posted in the neighborhoods where they live.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Persons between the ages of 18-35 years (females are encouraged to apply).
2. Minimum qualification of Senior High School education with passes in English and Mathematics.
2. Applicants must be fluent in English and at least one local language.
3. Ability to use (or learn to use) a smartphone
4. Only short-listed applicants who successfully complete the CHW training programme will be engaged.
ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS
The Community Health Worker is not a health professional; rather, he or she is a person who the YEA recruits from the community in which they reside and who has received basic training to act as a service delivery bridge between the various communities and service delivery points, making the work of community health nurses, community health officers, and midwives in the various communities easier.
