The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB 2021 for UTME and Direct Entry Subjects Combination and also O’level Admission Requirements for all  Science, Art, Commercial, as well as the Social Science Students.

JAMB Subject Combinations

General O’Level Admission Demands for all Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria

All prospective undergraduates irrespective of their selected department must have at least credit in five related subjects in either WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, Teachers’ Grade II examination, and not more than 2 sittings.

1. ALL JAMB Subjects Combinations for Science Students

The Science students have to possess at least 5 O’level credit passes in these subjects: English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biology.

It is also important to note that most science courses might consider Agricultural Science in the place of Biology.

Food, Science, and Technology: 
Use of English, Chemistry, Mathematics / Physics, and Agric Science

Pharmacy:
Use of English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry

Industrial Chemistry: 
Use of English, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any of Physics/Biology/Agricultural Science.

Fisheries: 
Use of English, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other Science subject.

Geology: 
Use of English and Mathematics or any three of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Geography.

Geography: 
Use of English, Geography and any two of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science.

Medicine and Surgery: 
Use of English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry

Agricultural Engineering: 
Use of English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

Computer Science: 
Use of English, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics and Geography

Biochemistry: 
Use of English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry

Biological Sciences:
Use of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

Physics/Industrial physics: 
Use of English, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Biology.

Mathematics: 
Use of English, Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology and Agricultural Science.

Chemistry: 
Use of English, Chemistry and two of Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.

2. The JAMB Subjects Combinations for All Arts Students

All Art Students going for the likes of Law, Philosophy, Linguistics, and so on must have at least 5 ‘O’level credit passes and must include English Language, Literature In English, Mathematics and any three Arts/Social Science subjects.

French: 
English, French and any two subjects from Arts and Social Sci.

English Language: 
Use of English, Literature-in-English, one other Art subject, and another Arts or Social Sci subject.

Hausa: 
English, Hausa, Literature in English and any of Economics, Government, History, and Arabic.

History & International Studies: 
Use of English, History/Government & any other two subjects from Arts & Social Sci.

Islamic Studies: 
English, Islamic Religious Studies, plus two Arts subjects.

Igbo: 
English, Igbo, and 2 subjects from Arts and Social Sci.

Mass Communication: 
Use of English, Any three Arts, and Social Science subjects.

Music: 
Use of English, Music, one other Art subject plus any other subject.

Philosophy: 
Use of English, Any three subjects.

Arabic and Islamic Studies: 
Use of English, Arabic, and 2 subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.

Christian Religious Studies: 
Use of English, 2 Arts subjects including Christian Religious Knowledge & any other
subject.

Fine and Applied Arts: 
Use of English Language, Fine Art & two other Arts subjects or Social Science subject

Theatre Arts:
Use of English, Literature In English, and 2 other relevant subjects.

Linguistics: 
Use of English, Two relevant Arts subjects and any other subject.

English and International Studies: 
Use of English, Literature in English, Government, History or any other Arts subjects.

Religious Studies:
English, CRK/IRS, and any 2 other subjects.

Yoruba: 
Use of English, Yoruba, and 2 other subjects in Arts or Social Sciences.

Anthropology: 
Use of English, Any 3 of History, CRK/IRK, Geography, Economics, Lit in English &
French.

Criminology and Security Studies: 
English, Economics, Government, & any one of the following: History, Geography, Lit. in
English, French, IRK, Hausa.

Law: 
English, Literature, Economics, & any other Art Subject.

Civil Law: 
English Language & Any three Arts or Social Science subjects.

Islamic / Sharia Law: Use of English Language & Any three Arts or Social Science subjects, including Arabic or Islamic Studies

3. JAMB Subjects Combination for Commercial and Social Science Students

All Commercial and Social Science Students preparing to pursue the likes of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and the rest must possess at least 5 ‘O’level credit in English, Mathematics, Economics & any other relevant subjects.

Business Administration:

Use of English, Mathematics, Economics & any other Social Sci subject

Public Administration: 

Use of English, Government, Economics & any other subject

Banking and Finance:

Use of English, Mathematics, one Social Sci subject & any other subject

Economics: 

Use of English, Mathematics, Economics & any of Government, History, Geography, Lit in English, French or CRK/IRK.

Demography and Social Statistics: 

Use of English, Mathematics, Economics/ Geography & any other subject.

Geography:

Use of English, Geography & two other Arts or Social Sci subjects

Library Science:

Use of English & Any three Arts or Social Sci subjects

Mass Communication: 

Use of English & any three from Arts or Social Sci subjects.

Sociology:

Use of English, Three (3) Social Science or Arts subjects.

Political Science: 

Use of English, Government or History plus 2 other Social Sci or Arts subjects.

Philosophy:

Psychology:
