JAMB Cut-Off Marks 2021: The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Cutoff-Marks for all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics as well as the College of Education for 2021/2022 Admission Published.

This is to let all prospective undergraduates of the latest information concerning the cut-off marks for the Joint Admissions, and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has earlier announced that the minimum cut-off marks for admissions into any tertiary institutions in Nigeria for the 2021/2022 Academic session.

The Jamb admission cut-off marks were agreed upon during the 2021/2022 policy conference of all stakeholders held earlier this year.

The JAMB Cutoff-Mark for 2021/2022 for all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics & College of Education

The institution Cut-off marks are to be followed by all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics as well as the College of Education – AWARDING INSTITUTIONS.

As a matter of fact, the minimum cut off marks as agreed during the 2021/2022 policy conference of all stakeholders held earlier this year for admissions are as follows:

  • Government UNIVERSITIES: 160,
  • PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES: 140
  • Government POLYTECHNICS: 120
  • PRIVATE POLYTECHNICS: 110
  • The INNOVATING ENTERPRISING SCHOOLS and COLLEGES OF EDUCATION: 100 respectively.

All Institutions are, therefore, at liberty to raise their own cut-off marks for admission exercise above the minimum set by JAMB.

The JAMB Registrar, Professor. Is-haq Oloyede said that institutions, with the decision, that no institution should go below the minimum Jamb cut-off points which were adopted at the meeting for admissions.

Based on what he said, “What JAMB did is to recommend; We would only determine the minimum, whatever any institution determine as their admission cut-off mark is their decision.

The Jamb board will ensure that criteria set by the Senate are strictly cohered to by all institutions’ admission officers and there should be no shifting of goal post in the middle of any admission exercise.

The 2021/2022 JAMB Admission will still be mainly from the CAPS Central Admission Processing as done in 2019.

Also, the admission processes are expected to begin in August 2021 based on the recommendation released by JAMB.
